Sirs, As this is an issue which is at least 50% of interest to residents surely wait for us to ask for restrictions! I think the proposals will cause more grieve than any solutions, and I suspect it has been driven by a desire to make money from fines. I don't want the parking resrictions.

We are in favour of restricions. At times it is difficult to back out of our drive and turn & during the day the inconvenience of no parking at all because of workers parking does restrict our enjoyment of visitors calling.
Thank you.

The difficulty of driving out of your drive, Martin, is shared by us all and is caused by the fact the Council narrowed the street to 9 metres. In 1999 when all Murray Place residents combined and came to meetings at our house and made a joint submission signed by all, we wanted it wider but the Council told us we could not have it any wider because it would affect a subsidy from the National Roads Board (we subsequently found this was not correct but it was too late.) Parking restrictions alas will not help that. I believe parking restrictions will impinge on the rights of those who live here and make our daily lives worse, not better. Kind regards Sheryn
